Photo taken during Lord Aberdeen's tenure as Viceroy of Ireland. Centre front in white is Mrs. Jane Duncan, wife of Dr. George Duncan of Vernon. The Duncan's were personal friends of the Aberdeens through their friendship with Lady Aberdeen's brother, Coutts Marjoribanks.
