The students will meet new friends through a home- stay program and get a feel for the Kootenays by participating in a rafting trip on the Slocan River and horseback riding. AIDS walk volunteer call-out ANKORS, the Kootenay/ Boundary AIDS Network, Outreach and Support Society, is in the pro- cess of planning the 8th Annual Walk for AIDS. This year’s Walk will be held on Sunday, September 23 in Nelson. At this time, they are inviting commu- nity-minded individuals to join the AIDS Walk 2002 Volunteer Committee. The continued success of this community event is largely due to the tre- mendous support of vol- unteers. This input will be used to assist CBT in future program direction and implementation.
