This barn was owned by the British North American Tobacco Company, which went bankrupt in 1914. At that point, this barn and property reverted to Dr. Charles W. Dickson, who had earlier sold it to that company. In 1946, much of the Dickson ranch was sold to the City of Kelowna for its municipal airport. The barn in the background, known as the "red barn", burned in early 2012. Part of this property was once home to Kangaroo Creek farms.
