Old Naramata Museum catalogue form reads: "Started out as Rushbury Store then owned by C.R. Walker. General store and gas station located on 1st Street (north side). It burned in 1943 in the packing house fire. At this time it was owned by Dudley Taylor and his mother (Mr. Walker's sister). The town centre was more oriented to the wharf and water near Lily and 1st". Old form reads: "Front of store and gas pump. A hand pump took the gas to the top of the tank (10 gallons) and it was fed by gravity into cars. Hand pump lever on left of gas pump."
