A replica of 373, the engine which hauled the C.P.R. dignitaries to the last spike ceremony at Craigellachie November 7, 1885, was prominent in the parade. It was driven by a pioneer locomotive engineer, O.E. Johnson, who retired, while George Deptford locomotive engineer, acted as "fire-man".
