These interviews were conducted with long-time residents of the Chase area by students in Robert McCall's social studies grade 11 course at Chase Secondary School. Students in successive classes in the 1970s identified and interviewed a range of individuals "knowledgeable about the history of Chase or the district". Please note: These recording have in no way been altered other than to reduce background noise. The contents are presented as they were originally recorded with no content edits. Users may encounter some language they consider outdated, insensitive or offensive. While not condoning such language, it should be recognized that these viewpoints serve to illustrate social mindsets and perspectives of their time, and the recordings are presented in their original form in the interests of preserving history.
