This collection was left by a schoolteacher who arrived in Creston in 1904, married one of the key founders of the town, and spent the rest of her life here. The photographs in this collection comprise some of the best and earliest images of Creston's streets, schools, and other buildings. Because the Mallandaines lived at the western edge of town, several of these images show a part of the community that only very infrequently appears in photographs.
