Excerpt from page 103 of "B.C.'s Inland Empire" by Erskine Burnett associated with this image: The lake narrows here and is bridged. "Osoyoos" is said to mean "The Narrows". The road over the bridge loads to the young orchards on the east side and up over Anarchist Mountain towards Grand Forks. The main highway to the border keeps straight on just before entering the town.
