Construction of lookout road up Tuktakamin Mountain
n.d.
1 photograph : black and white
Tuktakamin Mountain lookout was established in 1918. The first lookout man was George Edgecomb. In the same year a telephone line was built up the lookout trail. Edgecomb worked with the gang slashing. Each spring the trail was cleared and the line repaired. This telephone line connected a telephone from the lookout to the store and to the Forestry Office. The line was eventually put out of use when the two-way radios were put in.
