Dr. Andrew Yarmie is a former history professor from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. His community involvement includes acting as Chair of the City of Kamloops' Heritage Commission (2011-2019) and as director of the Kamloops Museum Association. Yarmie participated in many heritage related initiatves in Kamloops, such as the heritage plaquing project and the development of walking tours, and he has published academically and popularly on the subject of local Kamloops and British Columbia history. The fonds consists of oral history recordings and other materials gathered by Andrew Yarmie and associates Maribeth Plommer, Surya Naidu, and Susan Forseille on women's history, local history and the depression era in Kamloops.
