History: There was a change in school building in 1964, when the former Mt. View Elementary and Joseph Hammond Junior High School buildings on Tenth Street were connected and enlarged to accommodate Revelstoke High School. The graduating class of 1965 started their final year in the new building in September of 1964, although classes were delayed for a short time during construction. The building served as the high school until the current Revelstoke Secondary School opened in October of 2011. It includes a 275-seat Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre, an oversized gymnasium, and many other facilities.
