OCTOBER 21st., 1920 Trans-Canada Flyers Enjoy Stay Commodore A.K. Tylee and Capt. G.A. Thompson were honor guests at a dinner given at the home of Mayor and Mrs. Walter Bews last Thursday night, the following organizations being represented: City Council, Board of Trade, Navy League. School Board, G. W. V. A., Women's Canadian Club, I. 0. D. E., the Legislature, the C. P.R., and the press. The occasion was thoroughly appreciated by the airmen, who stated that Revelstoke hospitality was unsurpassed, and that they had enjoyed the manv little favors whilst held in the city. The men got away about 11.45 last Friday moming, but were unable to proceed any further than Merritt, owing to a severe storm which broke over the Coquahalla Pass about 2.30. They eventually reached Vancouver on Sunday at 11:15 am completing the trans-Canada flight in 48 hours and 10 minutes total flying time. also see P680, similar photo.
