Interview with Martin Mraz, a long-time resident of the Similkameen Valley. Part 1 includes discussing his arrival to Keremeos in 1947 from Alberta, the Mraz Brothers' Sawmill and the decision to build sawmills in Vernon and Keremeos. Mraz discusses Northwood, Abernathy and Paul Creek's involvement in the logging industry, inflation, and Robert's Creek. Part two includes discussions on the process of logging and the personnel involved, as well as recreation activities for mill workers and the feedback system at the mill. Mraz talks about his relationship with his brother at work and their successes in establishing the mill. He also discusses Jerry Sanderson's involvement in the logging industry, a cold snap in November 1955, and changes in machinery and technology.
