Joe Lake's wife ran an ice-cream parlour and candy store out of the front of the building. Behind the building is the "Lake-Cottage" where Joe Lake's father and mother lived. The Building sold in 1928 and 1929 and then renovated into a garage, where Reg Bakin and Alec Perkins repaired cars.
